Matching Numbers Question

I recently purchased a 1969 Dodge Dart 340 Swinger that I am going to restore. I have located all the numbers and they all match: engine, trans, core support etc... (2179) being the last four digits except the side rail number on the trunk lip it appears to be (2279) anyone seen anything like this before? Just an accidental punch???
 
looks close enough to be an accident but really no way of knowing for sure.
 
No pictures , no advice ! Lol

Color ? Options ? VIN/ Fender tag ?

There should also be an Outer Drive Plant body date stamp near the trunk rail number.

EMD 11 R is on the right side (pass. side) trunk rail? What is the build date on the fender tag?

And that's when they weren't DELIBERATELY putting weird stuff in cars. (Like the Hamtramck-built E-bodies with "ROCK" in the trunks.)
