Material things

-
I "own" my "stuff" until I give it away, sell it, it's stolen, or I die.

Nothing existential about it. Simply the way things are.

Deep thoughts,Rani .And very good. I like the idea. The way I see it, is your family and friends give you the knowledge to achieve what you have. You own what you have, until you lose interest and/or die. The experience/learning/ teaching, make the damn ride.

Rani, time exists weather mankind is there or not. Yes we use it to reference changes, but we did not create it. We call the interval from one sunrise to the next a "day" but we did not make the sun come up. If we chose not to count the days they would pass just the same.

As for "owning" things, to say we "own" something is a convenient convention of speech. If we acknowledge that we are only stewards of things it makes it easier to prioritize things appropriately. We should do what we can do to care for what we have, however, they will always be just things. People are always more important.

Death in the sense that we are no longer in this world is real, however it is only a gateway to the next world. We are given two options for our next world and the consequence of that choice is explained. we will not be "sent" to one or the other, we will chose it by the life choices we make. Make the most of the new year and the choices that will determine our next world.

I'm not in a hurry to get there but I hope to see all of you there when the time comes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
