The Scamp will need new tires by the summer as the existing ones are quite crusty (15 years old). I'm running 205/70 tires but am wondering what is the widest tire I can use w/o relocating the leaf springs or changing the off-set on my rims. The rims are stock 14x6 rallye wheels.

You really shouldnt go to wide on a 6" rim. a 235-60-15 would work though.

Thanks. I'd like to keep the same size front and rear so will that fit (w/o running into problems when the front wheels are turned lock to lock) on the front as well?

I'll be sticking with 14" rallyes.

I ran 215 60 14 and it looked pretty good. No issues on front or rear. Nice fit for 14" rallies. I like four the same size for the spare issue.

every car is different the best way to find what fits is to make friends with your locale tire shop or junk yard mount up some old used tires in different sizes until you find a size you like THEN buy 4 new ones
