Measuring a brake drum.

How do i tell if I have 9" or 10" brakes on my 8 1/4 diff from a 74 Duster? I'm thinking diagonally across the machined surface, but not sure. Anyone?

Measure the inside diameter of the drum.
Being its an 8-1/4 my money is on 10x2-1/2 drums...with disc fronts.

I don't recall there ever being 9" drums used on an 8 1/4.
