Mechanical Race pumps

Anyone use or got any first hand knowledge on these new pumps vs electric pumps?

Sorry Boxer, I have no first hand knowledge of these pumps but I did read the Hot Rod article when it came out.

The pump they tested was the EFI pump and they had some difficulty with it losing prime which was rectified by adding a one way check valve.

My boss just got one for his Brand X project. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet but we should have an account of how it works soon.

friend of mine has 30 chevy with a blower with a race pump at a idle speed or crusing around town it would lose prime over and over again they kept telling him it was a leak in the fuel lines somewhere. it was all new sealed tight . he took it off.
