I wondering if i put a 110gph fuel pump on my 340 it has a 474 474 lift cam 10;5;1 comp 2500 stall stock j heads with hi flow manifilds x pipe flowmaster. Would it help free up some power. It has a stock pump now.

Depending on what make and size carburator you have, fuel line dia.(5/16", 3/8") etc...
Are you running a stock carburator, stock dual plane intake, stock exhaust manifold, what exhaust dia.?
Typically the stock pump on the 340ci is not known to cause any fuel starvation at any rpm.
Therefore going with a higher volume pump might cause you so issues with the carburator, as most are rated @ a max. input pressure.
It might cause you flooding issues at low rpm.
You may have to install an in line pressure regulator, which is easier done with an electric fuel pump.

To answer your question, I do not think it will free up more ponies, if your carb. is not starving for fuel.
The air/fuel mixture volume in cc is what will give you the HP gain.
Also what goes in (intake cc) must come out (exhaust cc).

The "J" heads on the 340ci is a nice flowing head and is very suitable to intake changes and headers.
