I know they aren’t Mopar but thought they are cool. A friends two brother-in-laws have their vehicles they restored up for auction. Both do beautiful work. The one is a 1956 Mercury XM Turnpike cruiser concept car.

here’s a link: 1956 Mercury XM Turnpike Cruiser Concept Car | S207 | Kissimmee 2023 | Mecum Auctions

His other brother-in-law’s and brother of the one that did the Mercury is 1944 Chevrolet G 506 Pickup. I’ve seen the truck at a car show.

I don’t know why the thread I started got Shanghaied. This is about two guys who fabricated, do the body work and the one also does a lot of his upholstery work himself too with out a crew to help. They may farm out engine machine work or glass fab.
neither of them have a team to help them.
If you want to talk about Shorty’s start your own thread about it.

Rant over!

I’ve been to the guy’s place that built the Mercury. The one before picture I post has his garage/shop in the background which looks like he expanded since I was there. He used to just do T-Birds which he was when I was there 9 or 10years ago.

His brother that did the truck has a large pole garage he work out of. He also has a Mustang at Mecum too.
The guy he was doing it decided he didn’t want it.
One of them has restored an amphi-car. They both have auctioned some their work at Mecum and Barrett-Jackson.

I agree….this is a thread about the cars in the first post….not a Mecum complaint thread or discussion about someone else who’s show we’ve never heard of…..

@toolmanmike clean up on isle 9…..

Very cool….do you know what time they will cross the block? Those are sweet looking rides!

Keith, do you remeber the tire / junkyard near Belgrade? There was a Turnpike there, that is the only one that I can remember seeing. Tom, updateus on selling price.

I kind of do, you were excited about it lol

My friends truck crosses the block Saturday evening little later than the Turnpike!

Thanks Keith!
Sorry don’t know what time it will be on.
My friend his brother-in-law didn’t know on Tuesday when us old co works meet for breakfast. I only know the lot number S207. I just texted him to see if he knows yet. He just texted back between 4:00 and 5:00
