media blasting, sugar??

Anyone heard about using "sugar" blasting to strip sheetmetal? What the pros and cons of sugar vs normal media or soda blasting?

assuming its very much like media/soda, it cannot be used to blast any rust, just paint off of the metal.

Well, I was questioning the process. I found out after questioning the shop...." Sugar???" They replied "yes it is sugar blasting". I have found out through the other forums that "Sugar" as they call it, is a very fine media that looks like sugar, so it is called sugar blasting.

I was thinking I was having all the makings of a SWWWEEEET paint job!!
