Got to have a truck Mike! They're just to dang useful to be without. I should have my truck ready to roll (but not painted) this spring. Then I can look for an A-Body!

What year is that truck? Looks like a '82 maybe? What size engine? 4WD? Are you installing a CB? Manual or Automatic trans?

The truck is an 85 royal 150 with a 400BB and 727 auto.
Not 4x4,the wife hase the 4x4.
The first pic in this thread is the r/r hood I built 5 year's ago.
It will go in the blue silver truck when I get the deal dun.
And everything is going great' :happy10:

It is in the car's for sale thread. take alook at it and the motor.

And as for the cb, Only if I need too.
I have a fresh complete 440 that will go in it with the dana {narrod}that is in the gray one

Can't wait :blob:

Good luck Mike! It appears that your (or almost yours! :) )truck needs far less work than mine. :blah5: It'll be nice to have the 400 on hand as a spare too. Keep us up to date!

Here's a few pics of my project. The interior should be done this Feb. Frame and underside have been painted. I'm ready to slide the engine in but I can't back the truck out as I have a 4' snow drift blocking the garage door. :blah5:

Looking good.
What year Is that ram charger ? Look's like the top will come off.

It's a '74. Top is removable but weighs about 350 lbs. Getting them to seal again after removal can be a problem too. I know some guys who will take the top off for the summer then reseal it in the winter.

Thjat is a good looking truck. I saw it in the classifieds. If it was a 4x4 I would of been interested in it. Looks better than my 82 Power Ram.

It's not an a body It's a driver,and I will be updating the truck.
So we can injoy keeping each other up dated.
I sure do like your ramcharger. So keep on keeping on

Just another pic from Vic Sorm and the vin.
I am finding out that a truck vin is allmost if not imposable to decode.
I have been to a few decoding site's and ot come's up a van or a 440 truck or a 5.2liter,I am sure it is a good vin,I just can't get the positive on what eng came in it.
But I have found out the eng code's on theses truck are omitted,What ever that mean's?

Vin is 1B7GD14T1FS640857. If someone has the time or can help on this please do.If not there is no problem.Me and Vic storm are good.

Mike,

Doesn't look like that is a original big block truck, not that it really matters that much. I ran the VIN through the decoder at the the ramcharger site I hang out at. It's been spot on so far. This is what I got.

You entered the VIN Number: 1B7GD14T1FS640857

1 Country of Origin USA
B Make Dodge
7 Type of Vehicle Truck
G GVWR 5001-6000#
D Truck Line 2wd
1 Series 150 or 1500 for 94 & later
4 Body Conventional Cab
T Engine 318/5.2 2BBL or 360/5.9 4BBL (Federal) for 82
1 VIN Verification
F Model Year 85
S Assembly Plant Warren Main Plant or Dodge City for 88 & later
640857 Sequential Serial Number

Unless the truck is an '82, which it isn't, it was originally a 318. Hope this helps. :)

Thank,s ramcharger,Look's like you are coming right along on your ramchaerger.
Well I leave to go get her tomorrow morning.
Vic storm has her ready to go.It's about a 2 hour drive to the northwest.
They say there will be 25 to 35 mph wind out of the northwest.
So I will have a tail wind coming home.

Memike and Ramcharger, good luck to you both. My 75 power wagon is next in line a my house for a build up. I started a few years ago but put it on the back burner. so i just do enough o keep it running. It has 318 , auto, dana 70 rear, dana 44hd front. I have a NP 205 to replace the 203.

The 180 mile drive to look at the truck was time well spent.
I met two fine fellow's from fabo in West Plains.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the snow was on the ground,
And not on the hwy,I had to stop to buy some cheep sun glasses. :glasses8:
Creed borrowed a truck and drove me and the mower
to take a look at the truck Saturday morn.
I met Vic Storm and Small Block,Two fine fellow's
with some nice prodjeck's going on.
As small block and I were enjoying car talk and a cold one,
Creed was outside walking around a 71 72 cuda in his collection of car's
He has quite a few
I want to thank Vic Storm and Small Block for there hospitality.
I enjoyed meeting the booth of them and there dozen's of mopar's.
