Mini starter question?

I just bought a mini starter for a 98 Ram. It fit, but it now seems that the cable will be a bit short, and the small lead don't fit.
Is that the "norm", do you have to drill the small lead?

From what I have heard that is the norm. I just made up new cables and ran them myself. Why use 30 to 40 yr old wiring when you don't have to. Just my take on it though.

I drilled the small one, and bent the harness.

When you made your own, where did you get the wire? What gauge?

I have gotten used one from the you pull it yards. The vans are the best. The cables are real long.
