I have a miscellaneous toggle switch in my box of "stuff" from the car that I disassembled (way too many) years ago. I don't see it represented on the wiring diagrams, so I'm going to assume that it was added by the PO for some random reason. Unless someone has a definitive answer for its purpose, I will probably not consider it any further. Just discard it and move on, or does it have a recognizable purpose? :realcrazy:

It's definitely a aftermarket extra for something. Only you will know for sure. Trace where the wiring goes. If it goes to under the front bumper it's probably for fog lights. If it goes to a light under the dash then that is quite obvious. If it doesn't go anywhere just remove it.

Thanks. The car was disassembled long ago, so I have no idea where the wires routed. But they are short, so its a cinch that they went under the dash somewhere. My inclination is like yours..junk it.

BTW, the car is '68 Dart.

I`m wondering if its a hidden kill switch on the nuetral starter switch wires ...

It could be for under dash lights. The factory switch is here.

Map light from hell!

My car does have a toggle switch to the left of the steering column. I always assumed the PO added it for tail lights (Drag cars have to have at least one tail light to race at night).

Now there's a clue! This car was most likely raced by PO judging from the fact that all AC equipment was gone, it had a flex fan, long tube headers, etc. A tail light switch would make sense.
