Missing needle in u joint cap

im not 100% but am wondering if I may be missing a needle in my u joint cap?
There's not supposed to be a space is there?

Looks that way, when they are all in correctly there should be no gap.

Looks like two missing to me. Has to be ZERO open space.

And thats why the c clips weren't fitting in as well. Two needles were fallen on the inside if the cap.

Oh, and you do NOT want to drive with one of those clips not properly seated, because if you loose a cap at 50 MPH you will need new undies
