This isn't exactly my first "welcome wagon post" but since I've got a new A Body, I figured I would update this, and start again.

In March 2013 I bought a 1973 Plymouth Scamp from a gentleman on Craigslist. I've always loved Mopar, but never owned anything but Chevy's (77 Camaro, 79 Malibu Coupe, 81 Malibu Sedan) So I was very happy about this Scamp. The previous owner had done the front suspension, and the rally wheels and tires were brand new. It also had a brand new carpet, and a fresh 360. I loved it. I drove it, I worked on it, and then one day... I crashed it. Due to a driver in front of me stopping so suddenly, I locked the brakes up and spun the wheel to my right... Right into a brick wall. I didn't have room to keep the Scamp to work on it. I negotiated with some family and had a parking spot where I started pulling the fender and crushed bumper off to salvage the motor and anything else. Well the person who hooked up the parking spot decided that they needed it back, so I sold the Scamp to my cousin. My cousin has a slant 6 '73 Duster and planned to use parts from the Scamp for his Duster. Almost EXACTLY 1 year after selling the scamp to my cousin I go out to see my dad at his shop and my cousin is there. Nothing has been done to either car. Hes going to bootcamp to serve, so he needs to sell the scamp AND the running driving Duster. I sweet Fiance worked out a deal with him behind my back to buy both. I had no idea, and today she told me that we will most likely pick up the Duster next week. I'm too excited for words, and thought that I would post this whole life story in here for you.

Cliff notes,

3/15/2013 Buy sweet '73 360 Scamp.
6/5/2013 Crash sweet '73 360 Scamp.
7/25/2013 Sell Sweet crashed '73 360 scamp to Cousin with '73 Duster.
6/29/2014 Fiance makes deal with cousin to buy both cars.

Also, my Fiance and I were just friends and she was with me in the crash, It brought us close enough to plan a wedding and I've never been happier.

Mopar or no car.

Some photos, for your time.

First day bringing the Scamp home.

Thanks for reading. I have A LOT of plans for the Duster. I will certainly need all of the assistance I can get to get the 360 into the Duster.

She's a keeper! The car's not too bad either!

Shouldn't be too hard of a project to combine the two, they both look nice. If the Scamp isn't savable, there's sure a lot of parts there to use and/or sell when you're done.

Thanks 72 Dodge. It's been a year since I've had something to wrench on, so I'm pretty excited. She actually helped pull the bumper from the Scamp, she's certainly a keeper. We're supposed to pick up the Duster Wednesday, (if everything works out, I'll post more pics.)

Wow, glad to hear everybody is all right after that crash!! Congrats to you and the bride-to-be, hope y'all have many happy years under the hood together!! Thanks for sharing, the Duster looks nice!! Geof
