Mopar sb heads

-
I had an old friend that used a lot of epoxy in the heads of his race car because he went overboard on the porting. He would have to fill the radiator/engine with water at the beginning of a race day, and immediately drain it when he was done racing because the epoxy really didn't hold up well. Long story short, I would NOT suggest epoxy.

One of my heads had a casting flaw which created a water leak about 1/4” from the intake valve seat. I used Belzona Supermetal epoxy. It is very expensive, but I think it is made over there so it might be cheaper. $280/kilo. 8 years so far no issues knock on wood.

Ok no epoxi i have weld it now and its ok but im using the 318 heads they are ported the seats are done valves to thanks for all the tips

i cut my 318 heads back in 72 , i took 20 thou off never measured compression after that , i was 15 with no money but that headers and an 850 TQ off a 440 sure helped , had no trouble keeping up with firechickens and camaros .
Good luck with your build hope it goes well
