Mopars at Maple Grove

Yesterday I had the chance to go to an NHRA national event for the first time--the Auto Parts Plus Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA. I am sure it goes without saying to those of you who have been to NHRA events in the past that it was fantastic. The highlight for me was meeting the kings of Mopar muscle in the Pro Stock division.



2012 Pro Stock Champion Allen Johnson



Roy Johnson (Allen Johnson's father), the man behind Mopar Pro Stock muscle, including the current points leader Jeg Coughlin (who beat AJ in the final).

All-in-all it was a great day. Anytime I can watch some Mopars take down some Chevy's (the Summit racing team), it is a good Sunday.

AJ was nice as can be. He was more than happy to chat for a minute a take picture while still needed to prep the car for the semis. Probably helped that I had on my AJ shirt.
