In another thread I showed my 'newest' A - Body, a swiss-made Dodge Demon.

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=312728

Because this thread created big interest in this special car, and mainly on the fact of a real Mopar-production in Switzerland from the 50s to the 70s, I'll post here an article about this automotive historical footnote.

The text is - of course - in German, but I think a lot of You will understand it nevertheless - otherwise there are some nice, rare pictures and on the last two pages are detailed production numbers.

They were shipped over and assembled at the plant right?

They were shipped in parts and then assembled in Schinznach.

In one container were the parts for 12 cars, but they were often incomplete, so they had to open at least 3 - 4 containers to finish one car.
180 hours was the scheduled time for building one car in the 50s.

Thank you for the article. It made me realize how much German I have forgotten since my University days.

Ok that's cool, same as in Sweden then where my dart was assembled :)
