Has anyone out there every tried to set up like a B&M quick shifter or any other type of shifter into a console car? I've got a 67 GT with a console. I don't like the feel. Is there a rebuild kit or a shifter that makes the shifter feel more positive? Not sure if you all understand what I'm looking for. I would like to keep the console but put a comp shifter in.

I mounted a Hurst Promatic2 shifter under a factory console. But I also tossed the factory top plates and made my own top out of 16ga sheet metal. Painted the top plate silver with a black stripe down the middle so it similar to a 68-69 type console top, added a couple cup holders for convenience.
