We were just back in Calgary and Lethbridge visiting family. I lived in Alberta all my life and am proud to be from there but I sure don't miss the weather. Every time we are home sick and want to move back the weather changes our mind. If we could move all the left wing socialists to Fort McMurruy and bring all the hard working farm stock from Alberta here it would be perfect in BC. The majority of the folks here are good but the left coast hippy types all want to go back to living in caves and wear loin cloths. This is what our morning looks like today

I hear you on the differences in the climate and the people. I guess we can't have everything good in the same basket, but you can keep the hippies and tree huggers. At least I know the snow will be gone by tomorrow. :)

Hey Sid, you mean the "lotus land long hair dope smoking hippie types" or in short refered to as just "the long hairs".

That's a mighty broad brush you're painting BC with, we're not all hippies here, lots of rednecks too :munky2:

Spoken like a true redneck Rob. I think Terry was probably just pullin' your chain a little to see if any hippies popped up. :-D

Yeh pulling the chain, actually when I was young I spent a lot of time on the island mostly around the long hairs. I guess you could have called me one. Got another term we used to call the kids in Carstairs AB that drove the chev trucks but wanted what we had (girls and things) "350 Wannabees", catchy eh.:-D:-D

Back in my yoot I too had the long hair, but I grew through it, literally, I was 5' 8" but my hair was only 5' 3" :-D

I was a Military Policeman by the tender age of 18, so I never did get into the long hair thing - army probably wouldn't have appreciated that! :stop:

However, on the growing throught the hair thing, I'm still working on that. I have just enough left that it still LOOKS like I have a head of (short) hair. Come to think of it, the only real difference between now and when I was 18 is that I'm a LOT thicker in the middle and a LOT thinner on top. :toothy10: Oh, and it takes me all night to do what I used to be able to do all night.... :angry7:
