So this is the same company several years ago that sold me spark plug wires for a 400 big block that didn't fit. They later admitted that they knew they wouldn't fit but had forgotten to update listing. Their solution - buy another set at 10% off so you have enough longer wires. I'm not even kidding.

Now when USPS loses packages they refuse to send a replacement or issue a refund. Another supplier out of California that was also affected by these lost packages immediately sent me out a replacement priority mail, while Classic Industries simply says "severe storms and blizzards are effecting delivery dates". What a joke. I ordered an item on February 20th, no tracking since March 2nd when USPS lost it, yet Classic Industries refuses to fix the issue. I've reported them to eBay, but they don't care. They will always side with the seller. Avoid these people unless you simply have no other option.

Yes Classic will NOT deal with missing packages... I was out a $500 set of rear springs because they said they were "delivered" via UPS but I was home the entire time when they said they were delivered. It was a ping pong game between UPS and Classic... they finally just said report it the local authorities as porch pirates took them... I was not going to put in a false report because I knew they were never delivered.

I spent a couple of thousand with them over the last couple of years on my Demon. Had about $150.00 in small parts in one shipment that never did show. Refused to resend them.

Yup. Two companies I will (try like hell to) never buy from again: Classic Industries, and LMC Truck.

The only thing that surprises me about Classic is that they’re still in business, and that anyone buys anything from them when there are so many horrible reviews of them out there. There’s literally nothing they sell that they make themselves, you can get everything on their website from someone else.

I bought something from them pretty early on in my Mopar experience, before I knew better, and vowed never to use them again. It wasn’t even a crazy deal, I got my parts and they were what I wanted. But the entire experience was lousy.

I don’t know what Classic pays the search engines to show up at the top, but it has to be the only reason they’re in business. A simple internet search reveals complaint after complaint, and they’re not even less expensive than other sellers.

Classic Industries takes order for parts that are no longer made. When asked they advise there is no eta. Its weird.

Man, this is bad news. I haven't ordered from Classic in a few years now and was always happy before. If not Classic, then who do you recommend?

Been pretty well documented for a while now that Classic sucks. Sorry about your experience. Thanks for sharing it though so more people will know.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I've had great luck with classic. Maybe I should stop ordering from them, while ahead.

Well, I'll say it again. I bought a LOT of stuff from Classic about 12 years ago. Suer pleased with them back then. What happened??? I bet they got bought out by non-car enthusiast bean counters.

That's entirely possible.

They were trash at least 15+ years ago now. Fast to charge, slow to ship, no way to get any straight answers out of them between the point where your card was charged and however long it is until they actually ship the part (more than a week in my case).

Oh, right, and they don't sell anything that you can't get somewhere else because they don't make any of it. And their prices are higher than most of their competition too.

Nope, no thanks, they're not getting any of my money.

Sounds a lot like my last experience with Mancini.

i buy a few things here and there and tend to have good luck on the parts quality and shipping times. however, i have pretty low expectations when dealing with them and it's never for anything that's time sensitive or build critical.

also, their site sucks donkey balls.

I think a lot of companies are trying to stay relevant in a changing marketplace, I think that in 20 years or less the collector car hobby will be done, and these companies are struggling to survive.

My biggest issue is when they tell you they have it in stock, it will basically ship immediately and then you find out they're getting it from their supplier. That's what they did to me when I ordered some of my TTI exhaust for Vixen. FOUR MONTHS later it was drop shipped from TTI. Pissed me OFF. I called and ordered the rest straight from TTI. Was here in a week.

Are they still doing that nonsense where they let you order without adding a shipping cost, and then update your order with the shipping cost? And their shipping is expensive too, and not just like “shipping is expensive now” but more than everyone else charges.

Exactly. I get that retailers aren’t keeping as much stock on their shelves as before and some stuff is gonna ship direct from the supplier. And I’m fine with that, but tell me that first and know if they’ve got it on the shelf or not.

Summit does a pretty good job with that, they tell you up front if a part will ship from the supplier and they still list a date it should ship. I know sometimes there could be a miscommunication there, but at least I didn’t think it was on the shelf in the warehouse and was gonna ship the next day.

I'm glad my only deal with Classic went smoothly. I bought a dash pad from them about five years ago. A couple months later, the vinyl on one of the corners started pealing back almost like it wasn't attached properly on the back side, or whatever glue was used failed. I called Classic and they had me send some photos of the issue. Once they saw the photos, they immediately sent me an exchange. I thought their service was great but I must be the exception.
