Does anybody make a modern equivalent of the old Motor Wheel "Spyder"?
I've got a buddy who would like to run some, but in a more modern size so he can get a decent tire on it...
Told him I'd ask here...

What was ever the actual problem with the originals that caused them to be recalled? I believe there are wheel companies that would CNC cut what ever wheel you want. $$$$. Finding one with the written program would be cheaper.

I bought a set of 14x6 about 10 years ago, acquired a half dozen OEM or repro centers, and finally found the oddball repro lug nuts a couple years ago.

I've been looking for a pair of 15x7 or 8 or someone to "rehoop" 2 of the 14's to that spec.

.....for years.

Not aware of any recall.

Mopar "recall" wheels are different.

However, Motor Wheel, the MFG of Spyders did make the chrome "Magnum 500" road wheel for Mopar.
Not sure if they made the recall wheels.

Yeah, the KH recall wheels are different- they were repopped by Specialty Wheels LTD. in 15" LBP for a while, but the company seems to have disappeared.

My understanding was that they cracked around the stud holes.

Thanks for posting that, I came across a pair of those, & We mounted the slicks for My Buddy's Satellite on them. I had no idea what they were really.

Agree. They look a bunch like the recall wheels. Even the repop "recalls" are huge money now.
And so are the motor wheel spyders. You don't even wanna know what mw Fleas and Flys cost.
