Ok...newbie question here.
I'm going to pull the 318 out of my dart soon.
I have an engine stand I bought from summit. It's the kind that the engine attaches at the rear of itself to the stand and can be rotated via a crank handle on the stand.

I have a cherry picker to pull the engine and will be able to easily suspend it in order to mount it to the stand.

My question is regarding the actual mounting of the engine to the stand.

What bolts do I use?
Are there certain grade bolts I should use?
Where can I find such bolts?

Thanks,
Mike

Is there a recommended length?
Do you guys know specifically what size? i.e. 3/8 5/8 etc and what length?

Thanks

You may have to do some math, measure the "shoulder" of the stand where the bolts go thru and add that to the depth of the bell housing to engine hole. Definitely use grade 8 bolts

The bolts will be the same thread/size as the one that held the trans to the engine.

Length will depend on the depth of the claw that will be bolted to the rear of the engine.
