i figure due to the car i should mention "the dukes of hazzard". first a movie then tv then tv movies then big screen again.

First one I thought of was Alice's Restaurant (Alice/ Mel's Diner)..
Then, Bad News Bears. Pvt Benjamin. There's a bunch of such critters...

I remember Logan's Run from the 70's.
I think I saw the TV show before I even knew there was a movie.
Then there was Highlander. Used to watch that when I was in the Army.
More recently, I tried to get into Fargo. The movie was just much better.
