Here is one of our Classic Cruiser 440's fresh off the dyno and into the customers hands. We came up with our line of Classic Cruisers for the guy/gal who wants a good running engine but not all the drivabilty issues related to the Big power engines. But they want more power than what the factory put out all those years ago. So with proper machine work and attention to detail, we came up with this line of engines.

Here is the basic run down of this Classic Cruiser 440

440 block machined and ready to go
906 heads, mild port work and HP valves
Stock rods
Stock replacement type pistons, flat top cast .080" down
stock crank
Weiand intake
Holley 3310 750 VS
Stock rockers
Lunati Voodoo HFT cam 271/279 less than .500 lift at valve
8.5 to 1 compression
Stock oil pump
Pretty much stock everything but the intake/cam

Our goal was to make torque, and loads of it. Well we got that.

Pull was from 2700-5200 and it never dropped below 450TQ. Peak was 490TQ and leveled off from 3700-4400rpm. Damn, that's fun to drive!

It made good power as well. 448HP at 5150rpm. I made 400HP starting at 4300rpm.

A/F ratio was good, 12.8 at wot, BSFC was also good, .450-.460 the entire run.

87 octane, 15" vacuum at 800rpm idle and has a good sound and is super easy to drive. All we had to do was think about hitting the starter button and it would fire right up LOL

The "classic cruiser" idea is spot on. A little hotter than stock, closer tolerances, minimum maintenance and fuss. Whats not to like?
