I have a 8680 Timing controller. After my MSD6A failed after a couple of months I rewired my stock ignition back and plan on leaving it that way. Has anyone used this controller with stock Electronic ignition ? It's all installed with the knob in my console ashtray so may consider keeping it .

I see this on their discription.
(They're designed to fit virtually all vehicles with a 12 V negative-ground ignition, a distributor, and an externally mounted coil. )
So I guess my question is, is a stock electronic ignition a 12 V negative-ground ignition ? I think it is but not 100% and don't want to mess up my Stock box.

Why are you wanting to use this?

And what happened to your 6A

I had to crank a while before it would start. Then after a few month's it died . I sent it back for a free repair but when I hit my key with the stock ignition it fires up instantly. I don't feel like getting stranded again. It's easy to keep a spare of stock parts. I could rewire and have my stock ignition for a back up but car runs great with the stock setup with Blaster 2 coil.

I would have to combine these three diagrams to 1 diagram .
