I had an idea of incoporating the aar stripe into my door panels. i just whipped this section of the stripe up to see what it looks like.

the blocks of the stripe will stick out from the door panel and act as an arm rest while the very tip of the stripe i plan to make the door handle by having it pivot.

I agree, make the whole tip pivot, it'll be a cleaner look.

you could have the whole stripe as a arm rest and mount the window switches and all on top of the 'shelf' then have the front be the handle. its gonna be sweet cant wait to see it finished

I do plan on using entire stripe and what some of you mentioned about the handle is what I had in mind. The windows I'm considering leaving crank or I might to power to make it look cleaner. Thanks for all the comments

had a little free time today so this is how it might look. do you think i should carry the stripe into the rear panel as well?

Yes I think it would look good continue on to the rear panel as well.

covered the stripe last night. i have to get more material to cover the door panel but i was able to lay down some padding.
