My new NOS '69 Dart Grill arrived...

Heck yeah...my grill came in yesterday and boy she sure is nice. One thing though and you guys probably know this already...NOS sure doesn't mean perfect. Grill is perfect in everyway EXCEPT how the factory painted it. Their masking process leaves much to be desired, the painted black bars and other areas pretty much are where they should be but it looks like on the PS of it the masking or whatever they used slipped some and just missed where black should be. BUT even with its factory shading...I love it! $225 well spent for a physically perfect brand new old stock grill.

Yeah, I thought so too. I had initially said I found it someplace else as to cover my tracks so no one else would swoop in and buy it or make an offer on it. Really got it from a unknowledgeable chevy guy on ebay! I contacted him and asked him if he would add a buy it now price and he said make an offer. Well I did and he jumped on it...said and I qoute "WOW thats alot for a grill...SOLD!"

I guess it would be alot for a chevy one since everything is repopped now and new ones can be bought cheap!!!! See there are some good deals still out there...just look for them at the chevy guys shops.

I was really sweating it till it came in because I thought for sure he'd get other offers and sell it out from under me. I was talking to him when he ended the auction and he asked me what the watchers meant. He said he had 45 watchers on it and it had only been on ebay for about an hour.

You got me rolling...hey, I guess he's extremely happy and so am I. I was really really suprised he accepted my offer. In fact he sounded more than a little floored by it...I would have paid more.

My buddies are telling me to stash it and run my so so grill or flip it and get some other parts....nope. Only the best for my baby. I may save it for show days though...I have a bad run of luck with birds running into my cars while driving and I plan on driving it alot. Either way this babies got a new home.
