OK well I was driving and my speedo went from 50 mph and then jumped way over to 100 and just keep twitching and making annoying as hell noise like a fly stuck in a tight space just buzzing. I just put in a new dash reglulator the eletronic ones they offer and theres a piece thats sitting inside the glass which looks like it was attached to the needle.
My speedo just flipped out today

Uh oh, ya broke it! What year car, standard or rally dash? My be able to just replace the odometer?
Well its in my 72 Swinger and mine is with the rectangle speedo that goes to 120 so don't know what the difference between the type of dashs for a bodies are. Also but it will go back to its orginal speed but only when I slow back down so I'm assuming its shot then huh?

Actually when my speedo did the wacky thing at speeds above 30 mph it ended up being the speedo cable. At speed the needle wasn't moving very smoothly and the cable was all wound up causingg the problem.
