Anyone ever seen a center section with no part # on the side? I just took this out of my racecar because I broke an axle. Only marks on it are 1634 on the passenger side by the small fill plug, a small circled a stamp on both sides. It has 2 fill plugs on passenger side and it's stamped 4.57 R on the bottom.

My guess would be an early 741. You could confirm that by the pinion shaft size. 65'

That is a early case. 657 later became 741. 985 later became 742. This happened around 1964. You can tell also by the fill plug.
