Narrowed 8 3/4 measurements

does anyone have measurements for 8 3/4 flange to flange, spring have been moved to frame and mini tubbed to the frame.

An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list

What measurements you want to use for shortening the rear axle are up to you. My suggestion would be to pick the wheels you want to use first, and set the axle width to center them in the wheel wells. If you just pick an arbitrary width to shorten the axle to you may end up paying for custom wheels later.

Theoretically if u move the springs and tubs over 3 inches u could shorten the rear 3 inches per side. Factory is 52 5/8s plus or minus 1/6 inch. Kim

I think BrianT shortened the axle in his dart 4".

My springs are moved on-board 3 inches per side. Mini tubbed. My Dana is 48 inches flange to flange. 15x10 Centerlines. Is 4 7/8 inch. They fit nice. This is a drag only car with 29x11.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pro’s. Kim

Get the wheels you want to run , center them in the tubs and measure.

A wheel with 3.5" of backspace needs a different length than a wheel with 6.5"

Only way to get it right where you want.
