Couldn’t find a set of narrow front steel wheels. Only came in 15x6. Wanted them a little more narrow so I took and inch out of them. A lot of work for an inch but will give more of a front runner look. Also made a spacer to fill the void of the rear wheels. Won’t affect the backspace and will give about a half inch of meat with 5/8 studs. Plug welded and metal finish on the front side.

That's some nice fab work there sir.

Awesome work. I've thought about doing this in the past based on limited availability of custom offset wheel How did you jig them up to minimize runout?

Also for the rears, when you drill the lug holes out for 5/8" studs, can you still use lug centric nuts, or must you then make sure the wheel fits snug on the axle/hub register and be hub centric?

Thanks. For the fronts I cut it where the flange hub will center up the outside barrel when you put it back together. There was about a half inch sticking up where it centers it back up. Backspace didn’t change.
For the rears there’s no axle register on mine, it’s lug centric. The wheel fits pretty snug on the lugs. Used a 17.5 drill bit and hand filed till they all when on smooth with no slop.

Hopefully you know what you are doing, cuz i wanna say those look great. :steering:

Great job!
I also want to add that companies start somewhere. We all look to big companies to do the work we are taught are best left to professionals. Even me, a certified welder who’s been a heavy mechanic for over 35 years would not dare tackle wheels…. But somebody has to and those few brave souls are who are willing to do the R and D and take chances are the ones “getting it done.”

Again, great job!

Thanks. I was a bit hesitant myself. Even with 15 years of tig. I cranked ol girl up put a big cup on and let er eat. I figured the center has less weld on it than I’m putting on and that holds up just fine.

One of my desert homies was a welder at NASA's Goldstone Tracking Station out there in the old homeland. With the help of some of his coworkers he got N 50s under his Hemi Challenger on what started as OE 8" Rallys.

Wheel Vintiques used to offer a 15x4 Steely. It looks like that is no longer the case and they are now owned by Coker.

I need a set of 15x4 Cragar SS mags made I need a set of 15×4-in chrome hoops I have the centers to weld in

I think it's $777 shipped to my door for two of them I was thinking more on the lines of the old school 15x4-in I don't like those new flat spokes

Well I got them powder coated but I selected the wrong color.. by a lot lol. I ended up bringing by glove box cover to auto color supply to match it.. way better. Wish I could have got the powder color better they did a great job. Also restored one of the hubcaps. Need to do other one
