Need driveshaft help

1970 duster came in pieces no drive shaft. Need info what u joints, lenght, splines on output shaft. 340 car 833 4spd, 8 1/4 rear end .where can I get whole setup THANKS

First see what U-Joint you have on the 8 1/4 rear, I would assume 7260 small. On the trans, I assume it would be the large 30 spline yoke, but it could have been swapped for the small 26 spline output trans. The 8 1/4 has almost same distance from the center of the axles to the center of the U-Joint as the 8 3/4. So any 108 in wheelbase with an 904 or A body A833 4 speed trans, and 8 3/4 or 8 1/4 rear should work. 67-69 Barracuda, Duster, Valiant should work. You can check lengths in the sticky about driveshaft lengths. If you find the right length driveshaft, you can swap yokes. I'd also pay someone who is good to balance it after you replace the u-joints and after you make sure it fits.

So it is the 10 bolt cover plate rear axle not the pumpkin type yes?

Yes it has the ten bolt rear cover casting number 2852905
