I bought Doug's 453s for my 69 340 4spd swinger. I had to take 'em out cuz the clutch z-bar/clutch rod can't be connected at the bell housing side due to the headers in the way. Also learned that 340 has to run the Chrysler ome (Mitsubishi) mini starter as per instructions that came w/the headers. Spent hours on the phone w/Doug's tech suppt to no avail. Anybody out there have success with this application, specifically the 69 340 4spd using Doug's? If not please reply with headers that work for this app. I'm hesitant to believe Summit fit info now that I'm out 600+ dollars. Thanks.
