i can smell hot brakes and the rims are hot.just happen yesterday.any help i dont do new stuff just not that smart.if this in wrong place very sorry.help please
Sounds like u have break problems lol :wack:seems to be one side but the other side is a little warmer than the back one
no work has been done lately
hopefuly i can get time to work on it tonight.
you didn't give enough info, but i'll try to help.
It sounds like a caliper(s) is not releasing, causing the brake pad to overheat pad & rotor (brake fade). Heat would then transfer to rim.
Any pulling when braking?
Any recent work done?
How many miles on this sebring?
You are not clear if this is one or more wheels...
If one wheel, look for bad caliper and that the slide pins are not frozen.
If all wheels, that may indicate having moisture in the brake lines. This would cause the inside of the rubber lines to swell causing a restriction in the line. The brakes would still work when applying pressure, but the fluid flow is restricted when the brake pedal is released, this prevents the caliper from releasing....
