I know hot to paint, but never have mixed colors before. Would like to paint my project car 1971 Plymouth Bahama Yellow. The local paint store here in Mexico can find many variations of Bahama Yellow, but tell me they don't know which one is correct for a 1971 Plymouth. I guess their computer data base does not go back that far. Does anybody have the formula/recipe for mixing it up or know where I can find it? I just want to spray a factory acrylic enamel. P.S. I thought by giving the paint store following information that it would be easy, but they claim these codes don't help them any:
Bahama Yellow L5, Chrysler DT2462, Ditzler PPG 2325, Dupont 5267L, 5267A, 5267D.

Have them look for it in 1969 as just L5. The "E" prefix throws a lot of the computer systems off. It is the designation for paints that were first used in production in 1969. The Butterscotch/Bahama Yellow was a 1969 "Spring Color"

OK thanks for the help, the problem was the shop only looked up Dupont numbers, it was eventually found under the PPG/Ditzler code, a mere communication problem that began to concern me. A sample plate was made over white and looks correct (a mix of ochre, red, black, and white).

I know for a fact that you can get Dupont Nason Single Stage mixed in L5. I've done it twice. Sorry but I do not have a can laying around right now. If you are still having this problem later in the week, I will try to swing by my local supplier and get a print out for you.
