Need recommendations on a new(used) pickup.

I bought a 05 cummins single new it was 47k Now has 300 k. I just bought another 05 cummins dually used with 90k miles for 18k. My trucks get better fuel economy than my explorer. I have a sickness for Cummins I can't stop buying them. Even the Case equipment are Cummins. The dually hauls the excavator and skid loader together at one time on the yellow trailer and it pulls any hill at any speed loaded. Registered class 10. 640 miles to a tank full at fill up.

Like I said real trucks don't have spark plugs. If that Nissan don't smoke black take it back.

Ford best damn truck made 45+ years..Toyota first 3 letters describe what they are..T.O.Y. :usflag::usflag::usflag:

For used pickups any one will work for you. I'd really digest finding a used one that had the lifetime (maxicare) program though. Everything would have been dealer replaced.

If buying new my grand Cherokee with the 3.6 pulls 6200 lbs very well. With air assist though. My Durango with a hemi is squirmy but if hauls ok. All my mopars have the lifetime maxicare program. Best 2500 buck investment I've ever made. Used the warranty (less the 100 buck deductible) far more than what I paid for the coverage. I worry about nothing anymore. Durango wig 159k miles, minivan with 130k miles. Something breaks i drop it off at the dealer and they give me my rental free. I've literary drove the Durango I tot he dealer with the motor smoking from an oil injector squirting all over the engine. Two days later all new and clean.

Great looking bunch of trucks you go there, and glad you like em. But if my Nissan did smoke black, I would definitely take it back!...lol
I'm just not a diesel guy, and I have no need for a truck that will pull around excavators and skid steers.

I think this thing will do fine for pulling my 19' 4000lb camper. This truck has some serious power, and with either a 7000lb or 9500lb tow capacity (depends of which tow package it has), and way more hp and torque than my grand cherokee had, i'm sure it will do the job just fine.
Just need to get a trailer brake controller hooked up to it so I can hook up the camper and try it out.
Even though camping season is basically over, I'm still going to pull it up to our usual spot just to try it out before I put the camper away for the winter.

My old wore out Ford pulled this from TX to Bama at about 70 with no issues. 197k and running great. Bought the truck 2 years ago for 4k. It has the 4.6 in it. Right now back and forth to work gets me about 16.5 mpg. Rides great looks good runs good. And the dash is not cracked.

Updated the headlights. Painted the grill. Put some magnaflow true dual exhaust on. So it rumbles too. I think I’ll put another 100k on it.

Trying to recreate an AAR pickup. Need to order a stripe kit. Maybe one of those stick on hood scoops.
Actually with the location of the gas tank this is the most direct route for dual exhaust.

Used this cool muffler from Magnaflow. Dual in dual out with a X crossover. Makes it easy. Just cut the pipe up by the exhaust manifold where the two pipes connect. Sounds pretty good. Not too loud.
