need some help with block and trans ID????????

The block number is 2806830-3 I think it a 225 but I don't no what year it has the newer style head
The trans number is 6-97038
I was hoping the bellhousing would mate to a 833 but I'm starting to have my doubts I'm not even sure if its a mopar trans
I couldnt find any numbers on the bellhousing

The block casting number is for a '68-74 225 engine. That trans number is just a number for that particular part. If there is not a pad that has numbers stamped into it, it's an older model....'68 or older.... How about posting a photo of the transmission? Is it a slip yoke or bolt-on flange? 25 or 29 spline output shaft if it's a slip yoke? The bell housing should have a 7 digit casting number on the surface that meets the transmission main case. You'll have to remove it to see the number.

A 435 is a truck transmission.....non-synchro 1st gear. Nothing on those will interchange with an 833.
