need some info

i have a small [x] 8 3/4 3.91 posi in my duster, have a 489 5.57 posi gone sitting on the floor,have 2 questions-will the yokes interchange,and are the axles interchangeable,,,thanks

What do you mean by "small?" Is it from an 8 3/4 small bolt rear? The axles are all interchangable in the different types of rear 8 3/4 castings (741, 742, 489). The yokes from a 742 are different, you will just have to pull the yoke off and see what spline you have. The yokes have different size u-joints so it might not work with your driveshaft. The easy fix is getting a u-joint with 2 different size caps on it, then you can bolt it in with just swapping out your joint. Hope this helps.
