I am in search of help with finding the correct starter. Vehicle is a 1974 plymouth scamp with a 1986 la360 matched with a 1972 a904 automatic.
I ordered a powermaster mini high torque adjustable starter from summit and it bolted up great, but the raised part around the starter gear hit the flex plate so I returned it and power master recommended one with a nose cone but when looking at the photos it also looks like it has a raised portion around the gear that will hit.
Has anybody else had an issue similar to this? Can somebody recommend part numbers or other companies i could contact to get more info
