Two problems I see with going the 1.7 rocker route are:

I don't think the 1.7 rockers really make a significant enough improvement, to justify the cost.

A set of 1.7 rockers is a pretty big investment that you can't really use for anything other than a stock cam. If you decide to upgrade the cam later you will end up buying another set of 1.6 rockers.

I almost went that way last year in my Magnum 5.2, but instead I went with a slightly larger roller cam and 1.6 rockers.

Similar application to yours 4x4 X-cab Dakota that I tow with.
 
Using the same specs, I would go in the 260 ish, 440 lift, 108 center...... That longer exhaust duration is taking low end grunt away.
