I've installed new gauges into my dash and I'm having a problem with my dash lights not dimming. There is also a problem with the lower courtesy lite and the glove box lite. I would really like to solve these problems before putting the dash back in (easier to reach) im 70 and upside down is a problem for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ted,
A little more information may help with an answer.
What car are you working on?
What model Autometer gauges are you installing?

Thanks for the come back Dave . The car is a 1972 Dart and the auto meters are NV I guess. They all match and they are green to match the Dart.

I've got to learn how to communicate on this site. The dart is a 1972 and the auto meters are NV green to match the dart. Thanks for your comeback Dave.

So Ted, you installed the NV's in the stock dash panel and they won't dim?

I don't know if I'm on the right track here but are these LED lights? If so does Autometer say they are "dimmable"?

I dim a set of LEDs via the standard light dimmer..('75 duster) ...I did find that there is a right way and a wrong way to hook up these lights but I cannot see a problem if they came in the gauge..
