new brake lines

I have new lines for my 65 Barracuda. Do I need to use anything on the threads, or just screw them in. I have been told plumbers tape by some and none by some. I know you great guys know for sure.
 
I have never used anything and have had zero issues. The lines are double flared for sealing and if it was going to leak around the threads it would also leak around the tube.
 
Shouldn't need anything on threads. The flare of the tube is the seal area and needs full contact. Your hoses will have copper washers that act as a seal area. Putting tape on could actually cause a leak. Tape is for pipe thread which is tapered.
