I usually drive Volvos, but my favorite cars to drive are BMW's. Nothing feels and drives like them.

I just picked up a 2008 BMW 535xi (E60, N54), 2 owner car, twin turbo, all wheel drive with a 6 speed stick.

These are the winter 17" wheels. I have the factory 18" wheels too.

I have some plans for the car, nothing crazy, but some subtle visual mods and some engine upgrades with a stage 2+ tune.

Sometime I wonder: If Chrysler had kept developing the A bodies with more advanced versions of the slant six driving the rear wheels, how much would the final results have resembled a BMW?

Sadly manual cars in general are becoming very scarce.

Your correlation and speculation is interesting. The slant 6 was a great engine, albeit anemic. The BMW 6 has a hemi head, available in N/A, single turbo, and twin turbo. If Chrysler had kept the slant 6 it would 100% resemble the BMW inline 6.

Not lowered at all. Actually went up in sidewall on the rear for a little more height. But other than rear tires it’s 100% stock in every way possible and that includes the wheels. Gets 35mpg, runs 14.90s spinning, has paddle shifters and handles incredibly on 200tw tires. What’s not to love?

Speaking of BMW - I sometimes miss my 325i that I had when I lived in Germany. It was definitely faster than my Barracuda haha. A lot of fun on the Autobahn!
