Jun 30, 2009 #2 S Skeletoil Member Joined May 17, 2008 Messages 13 Reaction score 0 Solved, small block oil filter adapter plate has square drive inside the thread tube. I wasn't get it tight enough with a pipe wrench on the threads, I didn't want to gouge them.
