My first car was a baby blue 73 Valiant with a black vinyl top. So when the 66 Signet showed up on my local craigslist I couldn't help myself. Yes the color is wrong for the year, but, I like it as it is for now. It's an old tired restoration that could use cosmetics. I'm going to enjoy it for a year or so while I finish my other project. When that's done I'll paint her back to her original light blue metallic color.
I've been restoring a 66 Chevy C-20 for the past year. The whole time wishing it was the red stepside 69 Power Wagon my dad had when I was a kid.
Now I have my preferred MOPAR in the driveway. I made the mistake of letting my wife drive the Signet. Now she says I have to find her an early Valiant or Dart station wagon.
