Can you use a A833 with a new hemi. What bellhousing and clutch would you use. Maybe this has been covered in a thread but I couldn't find one. If not, is there a standard tranny that does work other than one of the high priced aftermarkets.

Here I haven't figured out the clutch part yet but this is a 1976 bellhousing and 833od

So what motor is that off of. Any mods or is that a staight bolt on. Does everything seem to fit right, it looks good in the picture.

might be able to have a standard fly wheel re drilled ( crank flange) for stock clutch???

03 Truck motor and the 10.5 flywheel from the 5.7 crate motors should work it's just finding a disc with the right splines.

From what I've heard, the small block Bellhousing is a direct bolt in to the new Hemi's.
Smallblocks used a 10.5" clutch.
What size flywheel will bolt onto that engine??? I don't know.

So then let me see if I got this right. Use the older small block bellhousing, the older 10.5 disc, the new 10.5 car pressure plate and fly wheel, and throw out bearing. Does that sound right.

Mother Mopar sells flywheels for this setup, and I think I saw flywheels/clutches for this in my new McLeod catalog.

The bellhousing, yes. The flywheel and clutch, I really don't know. It all depends what flywheel will bolt onto the crank.

Any smallblock trans auto or stick and I do mean any, will bolt right up. The top bolt hole is not used cause there is no hole in the block for it!!!! As far as what clutch to use, I'm not positive. I'm xure someone knows the answer.

I talked to Jamie Passon about this exact swap, and he said the you have to shorten the input shaft about an inch and re taper it. Now I just picked up my 2003 5.7 from a truck. It has the provision for a pilot bushing in the back of the crank. I have not checked to see if the stock bronze pilot bushing will work or not. I also just purchased a small block bellhousing. I believe that if you use the MP flywheel part number P5153592 you will then be bale to use any of the 10.5 clutch discs from the catalog. So I am going to try to use the stock aluminum bellhousing, MP flywheel and centerforce clutch with a stock pilot bushing. I will post my results when I get it finished. I will measure everything first.
