Hey guys, I’m 60 and have a son ,17, we have a 97 1500 (355k miles) a 2012 Durango and just recently got my son his first car a 74 Duster, 225ci. With 74k original miles from the guy that bought it new. Having been a duster fan since I was a kid I jumped on it for my son. We had a demo at work, tore the house down and hauled it off, and the deceased owners wife said there was a car in the back yard we could have, that’s where this story starts for my kid.
We have a load of plans for it. Currently doing a motor swap in my brothers 74 200 4x4, 360ci, and plan to rebuild it and stuff it in the duster. Really excited to be here on all y’all’s forum and hope when I run into issues I can get some great advice, maybe even give some.

Welcome from Kansas. You and your son will have an amazing time working on that car together. He will never forget it.

Glad to see you found us.
The car looks like a good project and the price was right!
Maybe start a build thread with lots of pictures so we can all follow along.
It's great to see another father/son project.
Enjoy the site and the build, there's lots of good knowledgeable people here if you have any questions, and don't be afraid to ask!

Thank you, I appreciate you all being here, been reading many threads and can see there are a lot of serious Mopar guys in here and thanks for the idea for starting his own thread. I think he’d like that.

Welcome aboard Sir, from the birthplace of the Republican Party. My you and your son enjoy this build. Take your time and have some fun doing it.

Nice to see some neighbors into the same hobby. I live down the street in the Ranchos/ Chambers. I’ll be following. Got some snow last night;)
