I was looking for a possible way to convert to floor shift without looking like a wannabe racer. The typical ratchet shifter seemed like it would be mounted way to forward with a bench seat.
I found a possible solution. It's a Garret Machine Works (owned by Lokar) Gated shifter. It doesn't require a button for park release, and you can bolt your own shift lever to it. Plus with the gated action, I can shift manually without worrying about about shifting past drive into nuetral or reverse. It's fairly cheap at $205 bucks. Add a boot and a swap meet shift knob and it should look right at home in my car.
