That intake is a nightmare - to get the 60ft dpown from 1.91 to 1.82 I had to:

- Fit a full length full height divider
- Up the initial timing
- fix the carb linkages so they came in 1:1
- drill the pump shooters to .044th

..and its still not perfect.

If I had .5" more engine bay height..Id bin it and buy the Eddie DQ DP intake.

If you haven't already, shim the Kmember downward by a bit more than the clearance you need. I've never been impressed with the mod-man. Too universal for my taste...

Im currently looking at using the Edelbrock DP dual quad intake.

Its port matched to the 5.7.. But the transition from " little to big" may well help charge velocity and low end torque

Just making sure I can get exhaust clearance past my steering box if I shim the K frame

....it never ends! LoL!!!

:burnout:
Steering box is bolted to the body "down under"?

Yep...right side frame rail at the rear - combine that with the off set US K frame and its pretty squeezy on our drivers side

Chrysler Aust really should have re-fabbed the K member:banghead:

Time for YOU to re-fab the Kmember. :) Personally, I'm not fond of shimming it downward, but within reason, I guess it's acceptable. (I know Hurst and others have done so) I think if it was me, I'd get another Kmember, cut the brackets off and build new ones, moved over a little and down, if oil pan clearance will allow it. If very little pan clearance, then I'd go ahead and move the Kmember down.

Good advice - I considered centreing the motor when I first started but figured my right side header wouldnt be the hassle it ended up being - As it stands, my pipes are so close the the pan and the steering box...Ive got very little room to move in any direction.
