Well, I'm a little ticked off to say the least..........
I bought an 8 3/4 rear end housing off of Epay the other day. It was advertised as a stock length rear end for a 67 Barracuda. I recieved it today, and it's from a damn B-body, with the perches moved inboard.......
What surprised me the most, is that they did such a crappy a$$ job moving the perches. All the 4 link brackets and back brace were done rather well, but they musta been drunk when they did the perches.

You should contact the seller, tell him what you`ve found and send it back if it is not as described. Make sure he picks up the return shipping as well as the initial shipping.

Looks like the perches were stick welded on.

What did the rear measure, flange to flange?

If you are using the chart in the tech section for an A body length... IT'S WRONG!!!

It should measure about 52 5/8" not 51.40" like the chart says.

The perches do look a bit further away from housing ends on an A body

Flange to flange, just under 55 inches. Clearly a B-body. The flanges were stick welded, and not very well done. I just got off the phone with the seller, and explained it to him. He's gonna contact the other bidder and see if he wants it. I just want my money back, so if anyone is interested in this thing, let me know.

Looks like they put it on the A spring spread by notching the perch locator holes... YIKES.

What did you pay for it?

They welded a washer on the bottom of the perch for a locator hole. I've got $205 in it. Anyone want it for that? Had it been for an A-body, I was gonna cut the brackets off and just leave the back brace.

I don't see whats wrong with it? I got a B-bod 8 3/4 that used to be under a 69 Dart. I'm getting it shortened to the stock width for an abody will be basically the same thing.
