New remanufactured calipers, mounting question

Hi, I just got the remanufactured calipers from A-1 CARDONE for my 74 Dart.
But in the mounting kit I found these rubber band looking things that i don't know what is for, and that I don't have on the old ones as far as I can see.
What are they for?

one time shot there there to take up space they will rot off soon.

probably something to stop a rattle or something. . i never use them because like stated they don't last too long.

They go around the pad retaining clip.
